Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: June 2, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") explains what you can and cannot do with InvoiceDistrict. It is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms. We may update this policy from time to time; the latest version is always available on this page.
We take violations seriously. We may suspend or terminate accounts immediately and without notice for any breach of this AUP, and we may report unlawful activity to law enforcement, payment partners (including PayPal), and other relevant authorities.
1. Who can use the service
InvoiceDistrict is built for freelancers, agencies, contractors and small businesses to follow up on invoices for goods and services they have actually delivered to their own customers, under their own commercial relationship. You must:
- be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction);
- be the legitimate party owed the invoice you are chasing;
- have a lawful basis to contact the recipient at the email address or phone number you provide; and
- comply with all laws applicable to you, your customers and your recipients.
2. Prohibited industries and use cases
You may not use InvoiceDistrict in connection with, or to send communications relating to:
- third-party debt collection on behalf of others, debt buying, or any FDCPA-regulated collection activity;
- payday loans, high-cost short-term lending, or any unlicensed lending or credit activity;
- cryptocurrency investment schemes, ICOs, token sales, NFT minting, mining services, or related promotion;
- investment advice, securities, forex, binary options, CFDs, multi-level marketing, get-rich-quick schemes, or pyramid schemes;
- gambling, betting, lotteries, sweepstakes, or fantasy sports for prizes;
- adult content, escort services, dating-for-sex, or any sexual services;
- firearms, ammunition, weapons, explosives, or related accessories;
- tobacco, vaping products, e-cigarettes, cannabis, CBD, psychoactive substances, or any controlled substance;

- counterfeit goods, replicas, or any goods that infringe third-party trade marks, copyright or other IP;
- any business sanctioned by the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States (OFAC), or any other applicable sanctions regime, or any business operating in a sanctioned jurisdiction;
- money services, money transmission, virtual currency exchanges, or any unlicensed financial-services activity;
- shell-company invoicing, fake invoicing, advance-fee fraud, phishing, or any deceptive billing practice.
3. Prohibited content and communications
You may not use InvoiceDistrict — including its email, SMS, AI drafting, and template features — to send or generate content that is:
- unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, or designed to extort;
- threatening, abusive, harassing, intimidating, or that suggests legal or criminal consequences you are not lawfully entitled to pursue;
- defamatory or that damages the reputation of an individual or business without lawful justification;
- discriminatory, hateful, or that targets a person based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or any protected characteristic;

- infringing on any third party's intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- unsolicited bulk or commercial messaging ("spam") to recipients who have not provided you a lawful basis to contact them;
- impersonating any person, business or government entity;
- designed to facilitate phishing, credential harvesting, malware distribution, or any social-engineering attack.
4. Communication-law compliance
You are solely responsible for ensuring that every reminder you send through InvoiceDistrict complies with the laws that apply to you and to your recipients, including but not limited to:
- the US CAN-SPAM Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA);
- the Canadian Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL);
- the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR);

- any do-not-call, do-not-contact, or opt-out registers and requests that apply to you.
You must honour unsubscribe and opt-out requests promptly. We provide unsubscribe links in every reminder; you must not strip, hide, or disable them.
5. AI-feature use
You must not use the AI drafting features to generate any content prohibited by this AUP, to impersonate a real person without their consent, to generate deepfakes, to attempt to jailbreak or otherwise circumvent the safety guardrails of the underlying models, or to produce content that purports to be financial, legal, tax or medical advice. AI outputs must be reviewed and approved by you before they are sent.
6. Platform integrity
You must not, and must not attempt to:
- probe, scan, penetration-test, reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the service or any system used to provide it;
- introduce malware, viruses, worms, ransomware, or any malicious code;
- gain unauthorised access to any account, workspace, or data that is not yours;
- circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or technical access controls;
- scrape, harvest, mass-export, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the service or its outputs;
- use the service to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model on its outputs without our written consent;
- file or threaten fraudulent chargebacks or disputes against legitimate transactions.
7. Reporting violations
If you believe someone is using InvoiceDistrict in breach of this AUP, or that a reminder you received was sent unlawfully, report it to support@invoicedistrict.com. Include the sender, the reminder content, and any relevant identifiers. We investigate every report and act where appropriate.
8. Enforcement
We may, at our sole discretion and without notice: refuse, restrict, filter, or remove content; suspend or terminate access; cancel subscriptions without refund for material breach; preserve and disclose information to comply with legal obligations or to protect our rights, our users, or the public; and cooperate with law enforcement and payment partners (including PayPal) in investigations of suspected unlawful activity.
